The University of Albany’s Living-Learning Community program volunteered this fall on campus and in Albany to write letters to active military members. Glendale’s Brian S. Abad has taken part in an internship for the fall semester through SUNY Oswego’s Center for Experiential Learning. Abad, who is a junior majoring in finance, interned with Oswego County Opportunities in Fulton.
Assemblyman Edward Braunstein is hosting a holiday gift drive for hospitalized veterans and a toy driver for needy and hospitalized children. The assemblyman’s office will accept donations of the following items: sugar-free candy, pajamas, robes, slippers, socks, sweaters, shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, playing cards, puzzles and unwrapped toys. All gifts should be delivered by Dec. 18 to Braunstein’s office, located at 213-33 39th Ave., suite 238; the offices of Dr. William M.
