Maspeth’s Alyssa Procanyn was recently honored with an invitation to attend a conference for the Congress of Future Science and Technology in Lowell, MA at the end of June.
She was nominated by Nobel prize winner Dr. John C. Mather to attend. Alyssa is a sophomore at Martin Luther School in Maspeth, where she is sophomore class president and a member of the National Honor Society.
Siena College has added several Queens students to its dean’s list for the fall semester—including Maspeth’s Hayley Chiarovano, Middle Village’s Conor McGlynn, Whitestone’s Anthony Skoros and Elizabeth Wurtz, Floral Park’s Irene Joseph and Jamaica’s Shadane Franklin.
Delaware Valley University has added three Queens students—including Corona’s Janice Olivares, Ridgewood’s Shantel Mena and Rockaway Park’s Dominick Borrelli—to its dean’s list for the fall semester.
Ridgewood’s Aneudy Delacruz has been named to the dean’s list at Central Methodist University for the fall semester. To make the list, students must obtain a 3.5 grade point average.
Ithaca College has named a number of Queens students to its dean’s list for the fall semester—including Woodside’s Diana Castillo (a journalism major), Jackson Heights’ Carolina Jeronimo (exploratory major), Elmhurst’s Anne Qu (occupational therapy major), Forest Hills’ Kaitlyn Ng (communication management and design major) and Margaret Parker (theatrical production arts major), Woodhaven’s Alexa Luciano (television-radio major), Richmond Hill’s Shalice Hunt (exercise science major), Flushing’s Cindy Prado (exercise science major) and Olivia McKay (exploratory major), and Bayside’s Teddy Byrne (television-radio major).
