Clarkson University has named several Queens students to its dean’s list for the fall semester—including Maspeth’s Henry Cali (a sophomore majoring in civil engineering), Ridgewood’s Yan Chen (a freshman majoring in computer science), College Point’s Leslie Cuzco (a sophomore majoring in civil engineering) and Queens’ Gabrielle Taylor (a junior majoring in mechanical engineering).
A number of members of the Army National Guard from Queens have reenlisted for service—including East Elmhurst’s Sgt. Robin Fung (Company B, 642nd Support Battalion), Woodside’s Spc. Sachin Gurung (who will continue service with the 133rd Quartermaster Support Company), Long Island City’s Spc. Christopher Moreno (719th Transportation Company), Flushing’s Pvt. Omar Valdez (Company A, 101st Signal Battalion) and Spc. Seungwoo Yeom (Company F, Forward Support Company Infantry, 427th Brigade Support Battalion), and Bayside’s Pvt. First Class Jeongsoo Park (Company C, 101st Signal Battalion).
Lasell College has named three Queens students— Woodside’s Adam Pajkowski (a fashion design and production major in the class of 2019), Rego Park’s Kira Corredine (a psychology major in the class of 2019) and Rockaway Park’s Alexander Moule (a sociology major in the class of 2018)—to its dean’s list for the fall semester. To make the list, students must obtain a 3.5 grade point average and complete at least 12 credit hours.
