Long Island City will soon be home to three new residential buildings and a park.
Real estate company Tishman Speyer—which currently operates JACX, a commercial development with two 26-story buildings—recently announced the new project.
This fall, Tishman Speyer is expected to bring a trio of high-rise luxury rental towers known as Jackson Park to Long Island City.
The buildings will be 42, 44 and 53 stories high respectively, and contain more than 1,800 apartments as well as provide 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, including a private 1.6-acre park.
Jackson Park will occupy a full city block and include a standalone five-story, 45,000-square-foot amenity clubhouse with connectivity to the three towers. The development was designed by Mack Scogin Merrill Elam Architects and Hill West Architects.
“In keeping with our tradition of creating sophisticated living and dynamic work environments in the world’s top markets, Jackson Park is destined to become Long Island City’s most desirable address,” said CEO of Tishman Speyer Rob Speyer.
“Tishman Speyer is a pioneer in Long Island City, which has established itself as New York’s most dynamic and sought-after neighborhood. We are excited to deliver a truly 24/7 community where New Yorkers can live, work and play, complete with best-in-class amenities and convenient access to everything New York has to offer.”
Upon completion, both JACX and Jackson Park will feature more than 55,000 square feet of retail space, which will include a gourmet market, food court, coffee shop, restaurants and fitness centers.
Jackson Park is located along Queens Plaza South and Jackson Avenue and offers views of Queens, Manhattan and Brooklyn.
