This postcard, submitted by Joan Cataldo of South Ozone Park, shows the old Richmond Hill High School before 1928. The school moved into the domed building on 114th Street at the turn of the century. It’s trademark dome included a telescope and was used as an astronomical observatory. “The Dome” also became the nickname of the school’s newsletter and yearbook. Eventually, Richmond Hill outgrew the building and a new high school was build adjacent to the old one and still stands today.
