This postcard, submitted by the Greater Astoria Historical Society, shows Grace Church in Downtown Jamaica. This church is the oldest Episcopal Church on Long Island, as well as the second largest in New York State (1702), the current building (1861) is a NYC designated landmark. Buried in the cemetery adjacent to the church are notables figures, including Rufus King, a Founding Father, U.S. Senator and presidential candidate.
