When prospective real estate buyers think “luxury,” the Borough of Queens might not be on the forefront of their minds. However, there are some outstanding properties available on the market that are just as eye-catching as anything else offered in New York, while they also sport equally impressive lists of amenities. We did some research and found out where the crème de la crème of Queens real estate lies. Using the average listing prices by zip code on Trulia.com, it’s clear that the Borough has plenty to offer even the most high-minded of investors, who may also find some of these properties to be great bargains:
LITTLE NECK, 11363
Perhaps the most suburban-like area in all the five boroughs, Little Neck tops our list. The upper middle-class neighborhood is best known for single-family homes; however, there is a growing number of co-ops saturating the market as well. The neighboring 11362 zip code is also among the 10 priciest in Queens, and Little Neck schools make up one of the best-performing districts in the City.
Median Home Listing Price: $991,500
39-05 234th Street
This nine-bedroom brick colonial single-family home has five and a half bathrooms, balconies, a living room fireplace, an island gourmet kitchen, a dining room and more, all under cathedral ceilings.

Tucked away in the northernmost reaches of Queens is the scenic residential neighborhood of Whitestone, which – as far as real estate goes – has it all. There are single- and multi-family homes available, along with apartments, and even some beachfront property in this middle- and upper middle-class area.
Median Home Listing Price: $738,500
160-16 9th Avenue
This single-family colonial home includes four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms with a two-story entry hall, vaulted ceilings, and a motorized chandelier. There is an outdoor living space featuring an in-ground heated pool as well.

FRESH MEADOWS, 11366
Best known for its proximity to two of Queens’ largest shopping centers as well as Cunningham Park, one of the Borough’s most beautiful getaway spots, Fresh Meadows is a densely populated middle-class neighborhood with grand apartment buildings and classic suburban-style homes.
Median Home Listing Price: $679,000
75-33 167th Street
A three-bedroom, one-bathroom townhouse, this listing is perfect for a young couple just starting a family. It has a backyard, custom-made closets, a washer/dryer unit and two skylights that allow tons of natural light inside.
Asking price: $850,000
JAMAICA HILLS, 11432
Just south of Fresh Meadows, this diverse Jamaica Hills zip code includes properties in Jamaica Estates, where new luxury condominiums have recently gone up. There is also a healthy dose of single- and multi-family homes on the market. Listing prices on real estate have fluctuated greatly the past few years, but rates have been on an upswing of late.
Median Home Listing Price: $675,000
170-12 Highland Avenue, #404
This two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment is available in the newly constructed Riviera condominium building. The kitchen has granite counter tops, hardwood floors and modern appliances, while the bathroom is finished in marble and porcelain. There’s a balcony and central air too – a rare find in the Borough.
Asking Price: $389,000
MURRAY HILL, 11354
One of the least-discussed sections of the City – and almost always mistaken for the Manhattan neighborhood of the same name – Murray Hill is one of the nicest, most diverse areas of Queens, featuring great Korean barbecue spots and the relaxing Bowne Park, which is soon to get a massive upgrade. Property listings in this zip code – typically single-family homes – have seen prices go downward the past few years, so there are strong investment opportunities available.
Median Home Listing Price: $646,000
With high-performing public schools and plenty of public transportation, along with shopping and nightlife on Bell Boulevard, Bayside is perpetually among the top living destinations in the City. The current market is dynamic with plenty of single- and multi-family homes, condos, and co-ops, while sales prices continuously reach record highs.
Median Home Listing Price: $638,888
