A South Richmond Hill man was murdered in his car across the street from Phil Rizzuto Park early Tuesday morning, police said.
The police identified the man as Dail Ramessar, 21, who was shot in his car at some point around 3 a.m. on Dec. 19. The police were called at 3:20 a.m. and found Ramessar unconscious and unresponsive with four gunshot wounds to his chest. He was discovered sitting in the driver’s side of the vehicle. He lived just a few doors down from the shooting at 94-22 125th St.
Emergency Medical Services took Ramessar to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
102 Precinct Captain Courtney Nilan said that police are trying to pull video from a camera outside a deli across the street. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
