After eight years in Bayside, Mitchell Slavuter, the founder of Prime Realty, realized that his company had outgrown its crammed Bell Boulevard office. He felt it needed more square feet, better access to parking and more visibility as a storefront company.
“Real estate is location, location, location,” Slavuter said. “If you can’t offer a good location, it’s a bit silly in my opinion.”
And so last Wednesday, Prime Realty celebrated the grand opening of its newly relocated office in Little Neck, on the corner of Northern Boulevard and Marathon Parkway. Slavuter believes the standalone two-story office will bring new opportunities.
“We’ve continued to grow, and I’m excited to do that at a faster pace,” he said. “The market’s a little bit higher here,” he added, citing the higher sales price for a single-family home in Little Neck compared to Bayside.
Prime Realty has grown by about 25 percent per year over its eight year stretch, Slavuter says. It started with one agent and now has nearly 80.
In its new office, Prime Realty will also expand its services. The second floor, which is being renovated, will house other resources including a real estate attorney, mortgage broker, a homeowner’s insurance provider, credit repair and potentially even contractors. Slavuter hopes that this will make his company a mainstay in Little Neck.
“I’m excited to try and bring something to the neighborhood that’s not here,” he said. “We’re gonna create a one-stop shop where you can come to 250-02 Northern Boulevard and take care of all your financial needs.”
