Queens Medical Associates, a preeminent cancer care facility and infusion center specializing in hematology and oncology, has welcomed Abhisek Swaika, MD, to its practice. Dr. Swaika is a triple board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist.
Dr. Swaika completed his internal medicine residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, and completed a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Mayo Clinic, Florida, where he served as chief fellow. Following this, he joined the Mayo Clinic as a senior associate consultant and held the academic appointment of assistant professor of medicine and oncology. He is fluent in English, Bengali and Hindi.

Dr. Swaika has been actively involved in clinical trials for cancer and has authored several articles in scientific journals including the Journal of Clinical Oncology and Blood. He has presented research findings at national and international conferences including the Annual Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He is also a recipient of the prestigious ASH abstract achievement award.
