Local music fans are in luck: a new music video from Queens singer/songwriter Jeneen Terrana is available now.
“Fastlane,” a rock tune about relationships and the search for fulfillment in life, is quick and bright in both music and visuals.
“I wanted it to be fun and show my personality,” Terrana said. “I was also hoping to express that sometimes things don’t work out in a relationship, and that’s ok. We move on.”
Terrana shot “Fastlane” with videographer and producer Jason Cooper. They filmed in Astoria, as well as in DUMBO and Clinton Hill in Brooklyn.
“We used Astoria because that’s my neighborhood and I really wanted to shoot at one of my favorite local bars, Sunswick,” Terrana said, referring to the bar at 35th Avenue and 35th Street.
For the artist, creating music videos is a challenging but exciting process.
“Shooting videos is usually intimidating for me. It seems like an impossible feat at first to express on film the meaning of the song,” she explained. However, she added, “After several brainstorming sessions with the producer, we found a way to tell the story. I love the actual filming process but it’s still very new to me.”
Music fans can catch Terrana live at the C.O.W. Theater in Manhattan on April 18. More information about the artist is available at jeneenterrana.com.
