Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man connected to four robberies that took place within the confines of the 108 and 114th precincts.
The string of robberies began on Sept. 16 at 5:53 p.m. when the suspect, described as a black man in his 30s, ordered a coffee at a Dunkin’ Donuts, located at 58-01 Woodside Ave., handed the money to the woman cashier and then attempted to pull out the register draw. The employee closed the register, but the suspect jumped the counter and removed three cash trays from the register. He then fled in an unknown direction.
On Nov. 6 at approximately 11:45 p.m., the same suspect entered a Laundromat, located at 31-11 31st St., and walked straight to the unsecured counter and removed $1,390. It wasn’t until the end of the night that a 42-year-old employee realized the money was gone and witnessed the incident on the store’s camera.
On Nov. 11 at approximately 11:10 p.m., the suspect repeated the same incident, robbing a Laundromat, located at 47-51 47th St. The suspect stole $833 from the unsecured counter and the incident was captured on camera.
On Nov. 12, the suspect attempted to rob a Laundromat, located at 55-02 Roosevelt Ave., where a 68-year-old employee was behind the counter. The suspect got behind the counter, pushed the man and retrieved $20 from the register.
