Planned Parenthood of New York City (PPNYC) is a safe, welcoming place for everyone—no matter what. Our mission is to help people lead healthy, fulfilled lives by providing high-quality, compassionate health care and information to everyone who walks through our doors.
As a leading reproductive and sexual health care provider, we know that people need to be free from the threat of violence in order to lead empowered lives. That’s why we offer an array of educational workshops about how to navigate relationships, develop communication skills and understand consent.
It’s not uncommon to have misconceptions about sexual or reproductive health. For example, many people, including adults, may have questions about what consent looks like in every situation.
PPNYC’s educational workshops seek to fill these gaps in knowledge. Information online may not always be reliable, but our expert, highly trained sexual educators can answer tough questions that workshop participants might not feel comfortable asking elsewhere.
You can bring one of our free educational workshops to your community today. PPNYC offers workshops to schools, community organizations, libraries, after-school programs, parent groups, assisted living centers and other groups.
We know that anyone can experience sexual assault, regardless of age. Our free-of-charge workshops are available for both young people and adults and are tailored to meet the specific needs of each group.
For teens and young people, we offer workshops on healthy relationships as well as communication and negotiation skills.
For adults, we offer workshops on consent.
These judgement-free trainings are a great way to learn about how to have happy and healthy relationships. PPNYC workshops can also help participants identify signs of sexual assault and violence as well as develop strong communication skills.
As always, our workshops are available to all people—regardless of age, sexual orientation, religion, immigration status or gender identity.
