An Ozone Park man was sentenced to four to eight years in prison after he pleaded guilty to numerous sex crimes committed against a minor in November 2016.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said that 54-year-old Robert Pou, of 101st Avenue, was sentenced on Thursday. According to reports, the incident occurred in 2016. The defendant, who was 14 years old at the time, was given alcohol to consume until she passed out. Pou then forced the young girl to perform a sex act on him before taking several nude photos of her on his phone.
It wasn’t until the following day, when the victim’s sister discovered 10 of the photos in Pou’s phone, that authorities were called.
“Betraying the trust of a young innocent girl, the defendant violated her for his own sick gratification,” Brown said. “He served her alcohol and then took advantage of her by taking photos of her undressed and manipulating her to perform a sex act on him. The sentence imposed by the court today is more than warranted.”
Pou pleaded guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance, promoting a sexual performance by a child, second-degree attempted criminal sex act and possessing a sexual performance by a child.
