NewYork-Presbyterian Queens is now the official hospital for St. John’s University’s Red Storm Athletics programs, the institutions announced on Jan. 25.
Last June, NewYork-Presbyterian Queens opened a new Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Center in Jackson Heights, led by Dr. Jeffrey Rosen. The new facility provides orthopedic surgery and has a wide array of fellowship-trained, board-certified physicians and surgeons that specialize in sports medicine, trauma and a number of other facilities. Red Storm athletes will now be able to benefit from the programs.
“Our practice is dedicated to serving patients in Queens, and providing physician services to the renowned St. John’s athletics program allows us to deepen our relationships in the community,” Rosen said.
“The sports medicine staff at St. John’s University is very excited about this new partnership as we continue our Red Storm tradition of providing outstanding medical care to our student-athletes,” said Ron Linfonte, the assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine.
