A man allegedly stole hundreds of dollars and three credit cards from a cab driver after picking
up a ride in Flushing, according to the NYPD.
The suspect solicited a ride from the victim, a 41-year-old livery cab driver, in the vicinity of Sanford Avenue and Main Street in Flushing. The driver took the suspect to Chinatown in Manhattan and then to a residential building near 135th Street and 39th Avenue in Flushing, according to the NYPD.
When the cab arrived at the destination, the suspect asked the driver to enter the residence to retrieve property. The driver complied and returned to his vehicle to find that the suspect had fled with $700 and three credit cards, according to the NYPD.
The suspect is described as an Asian male between the ages of 25 and 30, with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white shirt.
