Sources tell QConf that former Comptroller John Liu may have his sites set on a new seat.
Liu, who recently started teaching college courses at Baruch College, could challenge U.S. Rep. Nydia Velazquez,
whose district encompasses parts of Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.
The former Comptroller may be counting on the fact that Velazquez’s district includes Chinatown – a stronghold for
Liu – to bolster the base for his potential campaign.
