How many summer camps in Queens offer both an on-site swimming pool with certified lifeguards and door-to-door transportation? The answer is: not many that can live up to Garden School Summer Camp’s promise to parents and campers to “make summer easy and fun.”
Garden School Summer Camp, which is aimed at children between the ages of 15 months and 13 years, offers an on-site pool with swimming and swimming lessons twice a day, an air-conditioned gym, game room and great camp atmosphere that has kept families loyal and coming back year after year.
Knowing that young children who are new to camp sometimes need time to adjust, Garden lets families choose from flexible scheduling options and start with as little as two days per week. They can later add to their schedule, space permitting, when they see how much their child loves this camp.
Families of campers, ages 7 and above, can choose from fine arts, academics, sports and technology for any week, so that they are learning, creating and exploring while having fun.
Garden’s summer camp day begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m., which makes it easy for parents by including lunch and a snack, but also offering extended day hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Parents and campers are encouraged to learn more and see the facilities by coming to any of Garden’s open houses, which are held every Wednesday at 9 a.m. Children are welcome and no RSVP is necessary for the open houses.
Garden School is located at 33-16 79th St. in Jackson Heights. For more information, call (718) 335-6363 or visit www.gardenschool.org.
