Richmond Hill’s Bob Chang, a clinic health studies major at Ithaca College, was recently one of five students selected to attend the African American Student Leadership Experience in Washington D.C., which was a four-day intensive event during which students were challenged to put theory into practice in real time.
The Rochester Institute of Technology has named several Queens students to its dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester, including Rego Park’s Gary Xu (who is studying electrical mechanical engineering technology), Karrie Chen (who is studying media arts and technology) and Wesley Li (who is studying civil engineering technology); Ozone Park’s Stacey Yip (who is studying industrial design); Woodhaven’s Barry Wu (who is studying computer engineering); Forest Hills’ Avinash Sonilal (who is studying civil engineering technology); and South Ozone Park’s Mickaela Samuel (who is studying chemical engineering).
To be eligible for the dean’s list, students must have a 3.4 grade point average and no incompletes or “D” or “F” grades as well as complete at least 12 credit hours.
Lafayette College has named two Queens students to its dean’s list for the fall 2016 semester— Forest Hills’ Ashley Goreshnik and South Richmond Hill’s Christel Chavez. To make the list, students must have a 3.6 grade point average.
