The State University of New York at New Paltz has announced its Dean’s List for the Fall 2015 semester. New Paltz proudly congratulates the following students for earning placement on the fall 2015 Dean’s List:
Katie Aguilar, Lauren Katzenstein and Myasia Fajardo of Forest Hills; Marissa Alperin of Rego Park; Alana Davila, Michael Rodriguez and Alexandria Griffiths of Kew Gardens; Megan LaCognata of Belle Harbor; Tiana Valentin of Richmond Hill; Shayanna Roman of South Richmond Hill; Amanda Zhang of Woodhaven and Stephanie Hanna, Michael McCann, Caitlin O’Brien, Regina Paskoff and Katelyn Gill of Rockaway Park.
Dean’s List designation is reserved for students who excel academically and earn at least a 3.3 grade-point average in a semester with a full-time course load.
Elina Rabiyeva of Rego Park is one of 53 SUNY Oneonta students studying abroad this semester. Rabiyeva, a junior majoring in Psychology, is studying at American College of Greece in Greece.
Logan Leeds, a student at Forest Hills High School has been selected to represent Forest Hills High School as a National Youth Delegate to the 2016 Washington Youth Summit on the Environment at George Mason University. Leeds joins a select group of 250 students from across the country to participate in an intensive study week-long of leadership in environmental science and conservation. Leeds was chosen based on academic accomplishments and a demonstrated interest and excellence in leadership in the sciences and conservation studies.
Richard Dong of Forest Hills has earned a weekly swimming & diving award from the Liberty League. Dong helped the Engineers defeat Hamilton College and finish the dual meet season undefeated – the first-time in school history – with 7-0 records. The men won 191-109 and the women were victorious 179-121.
Jeromi Fernandez of Forest Hills, who studies Finance at St. Joseph’s University earned Dean’s List honors for the Fall 2015 semester.
