Several Queens students graduated from Marist College during the college’s commencement ceremony on the weekend of May 19, including Richmond Hill’s Danielle Glazer (who received a bachelor of science degree in business administration) and Stephen Maradiaga (bachelor of arts degree in fine arts—studio), Arverne’s Karelin Santana (bachelor of science degree in business administration), Rockaway Park’s Patrick Ginty (bachelor of arts degree in communication) and Anna Pastina (bachelor of science degree in fashion merchandising), Ridgewood’s Jorge Reyes (bachelor of science degree in business administration), Woodside’s Amber Wang (bachelor of science degree in information technology and systems), Astoria’s Gregory Companion (master’s degree in public administration), Long Island City’s Daniel Smits (master of arts degree in integrated marketing communication), Oakland Gardens’ Ryan Moyles (master’s degree in public administration), Flushing’s Sritapasvi Pannaty (master of science degree in information management specialization), Jamaica’s Mariely Minaya Arias (bachelor of science degree in medical technology) and Rosedale’s Arielle Watson (bachelor of arts degree in psychology).
York College of Pennsylvania has named several Queens students to its dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester. Students to make the list include Breezy Point’s Trevo Mackay (a junior criminal justice major), Arverne’s Maya Reid (a sophomore mathematics major), Middle Village’s Faustyna Legacka (a junior middle level education major) and Maspeth’s Darwin Bloise (a sophomore graphic design major).

Students who received their diplomas include Far Rockaway’s Melisa Williams (bachelor of arts) and Belle Harbor’s Kayla Goman (bachelor of science) and Casey Collins (bachelor of science), Glendale’s Julianne Tracy (master of business administration), Elmhurst’s Marlin Moz (bachelor of arts), Floral Park’s Lauren Epstein (bachelor of arts), Bayside’s Fae Kuhnen (bachelor of arts) and College Point’s Rosemarie Whyte (bachelor of arts).
