Forest Hills’ Private Tatsuyo Hondo, who is serving with the National Guard’s 89th Band, has received the New York Guard Six-Month Service Ribbon.

State Sen. Joseph Addabbo (D-Howard Beach) is hosting an event on Sept. 9 during which residents in his district can dispose of old televisions, computers and other electronic devices. The event, which is free, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the St. Camillus School Parking Lot in Rockaway, located at Beach 99th Street between Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Shore Front Parkway.
