A Forest Hills blaze killed one Queens resident and left another in critical condition early on Tuesday, according to the FDNY.
The fire broke out in the second floor a three-story building at 111-29 66 Ave., near the
Grand Central Parkway, around 10:20 a.m. A total of 12 units and 60 firefighters responded to the call.
Firefighters rescued two victims from the fire—the first was dead on arrival, and the second was transported to Booth Memorial Hospital with critical injuries, the FDNY said.
The fire was put under control by 10:53 a.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to the FDNY.
