Several Queens students recently earned their diplomas from the University of Vermont during its commencement celebration on May 20 and 21. Local students who graduated include Bayside’s Christine Doherty (bachelor of science degree in environmental studies), Elmhurst’s Nicole Falques (bachelor of arts/science degree in psychology), East Elmhurst’s Tasha Naula (bachelor of science degree in environmental studies), Woodside’s Madeleine Sarnicola (bachelor of arts degree in gender sexuality and women’s studies) and Jackson Heights’ Ngawang Lhazom (bachelor of arts degree in environmental studies).
Whitestone’s Anthony Cairo graduated with a doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences during the school’s commencement on May 24 in Philadelphia.
