Several Queens students recently received their diplomas from the University of Rhode Island during the school’s commencement ceremony on May 20 to 21.
Students who graduated include Bayside’s Karen Dalessio (bachelor of science in nursing) and Yvonnie Phan (bachelor of arts in political science); Floral Park’s Yash Vajifdar (bachelor of science in business administration and entrepreneurship management); Forest Hills’ Samantha Santos (bachelor of science in health studies); and Far Rockaway’s India Francis (bachelor of arts in economics).
Union College has added several Queens students to its dean’s list for the spring 2017 semester, including Flushing’s Maximillian Tam and Meichai Chen; Oakland Gardens’ Brenda Lin; Forest Hills’ Kira Wilson; Ozone Park’s Sharifa Sahai; Sunnyside’s Sajju Chalise; Long Island City’s Sanan Hajiyev; and Jamaica’s Loren Collado.
