A 16-year-old Flushing girl has been missing since late September and her mother and neighbors have been spreading her picture in the hope that she will be spotted and returned home.
Kimberli Amaya Garcia was last seen around 7:20 a.m. at her home, located at 140-18 Ash Ave., on Sept. 29, according to police. Her mother, Maria Amaya, has been putting up posters throughout the neighborhood, said Carmen Mosca, a neighbor.
“It’s been two weeks since the girl has been missing,” Mosca said. “She has a little brother and sister who are very worried.”
Garcia is described as a four-foot-eight-inch Hispanic girl who weighs approximately 95 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a Veritas Academy shirt and blue pants. Anyone with information should call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
