On Wednesday, police announced that a woman who was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Jamaica Estates in September was a homicide.
On Sept. 13, Cindy Boyle, 45, was found naked and unconscious in the bathtub inside of her apartment, located at 86th Drive near 209th Street in Jamaica Estates.
According to police, there were no signs of trauma—but prescription pills were scattered around the bathroom. Boyle was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Autopsy results by the city’s medical examiner revealed that Boyle had been strangled to death.
There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
“We have some very strong leads, some people of interest,” said NYPD Chief of Detectives Dermot Shea.
