To The Editor:
National Catholic School week is being celebrated from Sunday Jan. 26 through Feb. 1 all across the country. The theme this year is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.” I would like to say that I applaud what Catholic Schools do for the youth of our country. These schools produce students strongly dedicated to their faith, families and communities by providing an intellectually stimulating environment rich in spirituality, character and moral development. The teachers in these schools I am told are dedicated to their profession and see this not just a job but an opportunity to enlighten the minds of children and seek to make them the very best they can be. You see these children are the leaders of tomorrow and need what Catholic Schools offer. In closing, let me say that I hope God helps us to continue to keep our fine Catholic Schools vibrant and thriving for these schools need to stay open for these children are our nation’s future.
