At Bayside’s Magic Day Camp, there are two on-site directors and several assistant directors. While directors oversee the entire camp operation, assistant directors are tasked with the various activities that take place.
The staff includes an aquatics director, dance and martial arts demonstration director, athletics director and food safety specialist. This division of responsibility is advantageous to the enormous amount of entertaining and activities that take place each day. This also ensures that the camp can offer the individualized attention and quality that Magic families have grown to expect. The camp has an experienced transportation director to ensure the safety and reliability of all transportation from pick up to drop off as well as the coordination of transport throughout the day when children go on trips.
Magic Day camp directors, assistant directors and head counselors are experienced and, often, New York State certified teachers who are trained in Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), first aid and Responding to Emergency (RTE) methods.
The camp’s staff believes that its busing service is one of the most important components of a child’s camping experience.
The bus company is a direct reflection of Magic Day Camp and bus drivers are the first people that parents and children will see each morning. Magic Day drivers are known for their friendly and appropriate manner, relentless safety measures and respectful appearance, while providing courteous and established pickups and drop offs times for children.
The camp’s bus drivers will never ever leave a child unattended at any time.
