State Sen. Joseph Addabbo (D-Howard Beach) will partner with the Central Queens Y, Samuel Field Y and city Comptroller Scott Stringer to host a job fair in Forest Hills in June.
On June 8, more than 25 companies will drop by the Central Queens Y between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to collect resumes and interview candidates for various positions. Companies planning to attend the event include Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Whole Foods and Chase Manhattan Bank.
“This job fair is a great opportunity for us to work with local businesses and invite the Queens community to take advantage of our growing and thriving workforce program,” said Danielle Elleman, CEO of the Central Queens Y and Samuel Field Y. “We’re really grateful to have the support of our state senator and city comptroller in this effort, and we look forward to the opportunities that this event will produce for our community.”
Those interested in participating should wear professional attire and bring multiple copies for their resume. To register, visit http://www.cqy.org/forms/egy-job-fair-2018-regristation-form.
