GRAND LARCENY —
Police said that they are searching for an individual who is wanted in connection with a grand larceny incident on Feb. 11 in Astoria.
Around 5:12 a.m., the suspect entered Ruby’s Grocery—located at 25-44 Broadway—and used a stolen credit card to purchase beer. The suspect was wearing a black jacket and black hoodie.
GRAND LARCENY —
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals who are wanted in connection with a grand larceny incident on Jan. 28 in Long Island City.
Around 4 p.m., a 62-year-old man entered a residential building in the vicinity of 40th Avenue and 10th Street and two individuals followed him inside.
The victim and the two suspects entered the elevator, and the individual’s removed the victim’s wallet, which contained credit cards and approximately $100, from his jacket pocket. The suspects then exited the elevator and fled on foot in an unknown direction. There were no injuries during the incident.
The first suspect is described as a black woman who was last seen wearing a red sweater with a hood, dark green and black jacket, black pants and white sneakers. The second suspect was a black woman who was last seen wearing a black sweater with a hood, black jeans and eyeglasses.
SHOTS FIRED —
Police said that they are searching for an individual who is wanted in connection with firing a gun at a playground in Astoria on Feb. 19.
Around 12:40 p.m., the suspect discharged a firearm three times inside of the Dutch Kills Playground, which is located at the corner of 36th Avenue and Crescent Street. No one was injured during the incident.
