Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an individual who is wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on Jan. 26 within the confines of the 114th Precinct.
Just before 7 a.m., a 23-year-old man was involved in a verbal dispute with a 19-year-old woman near 41st Street and 10th Avenue, when he brandished a gun and fired a shot at her.
The shot missed the woman and struck a 28-year-old woman in the stomach as she walked home from the train station. EMS transported the victim to Cornell Hospital, where she is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police have arrested Snooze Brown, whose address has not been released by police, in the incident.
GRAND LARCENY —
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an individual who is wanted in connection with a grand larceny incident in Astoria on Dec. 30.
Around 4 a.m., the suspect engaged a 40-year-old man in conversation inside of the Empire State Deli, located at 42-16 30th Ave., and then removed his property as he hugged him. The suspect fled the store eastbound on 30th Avenue with the victim’s cell phone and wallet, which contained approximately $100 in cash.
The suspect is described as a five-foot-10-inch black man who is believed to be 18 to 21 years old. He was last seen wearing a green baseball cap, dark colored hooded sweater, dark colored jacket and dark colored pants.
