Police are searching for a man who is wanted in connection with two assaults that took place on April 12 in Jackson Heights.
Just before 1 p.m., an unidentified man approached an 18-year-old woman in front of 86-12 37th Ave. and slapped her face with an open hand. The woman, who suffered pain and redness to her face, refused medical attention.
Approximately 15 minutes later, the unidentified man approached an 85-year-old man in front of 83-18 37th Ave. and punched him in the left side of his face, police said. The victim suffered redness, swelling, bruising and a small laceration to his face. The attacker, who fled westbound on 37th Avenue toward 81st Street, was last seen wearing a blue and white checkered shirt and dark pants.
