FATAL COLLISSION —
A 73-year-old Flushing man was killed during a motor vehicle collision in Flushing on Nov. 24, police said.
Just before 6:30 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of a car crash at the intersection of Francis Lewis Boulevard and 39th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observed Raymond Connor unconscious and unresponsive inside of a black minivan. EMS responded and transported Connor to Flushing Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation revealed that Connor had been traveling southbound on Francis Lewis Boulevard at the intersection of 39th Avenue when he struck a metal support pillar.
