Police said that they are searching for an individual who is wanted in connection with an assault that took place on May 29 in Jackson Heights.
Around 3:30 p.m., a 46-year-old man was walking along the street near 84-18 Roosevelt Ave. when an unknown individual walked up behind him, grabbed him by the back of the neck and forced him to walk several feet before pushing him to the ground. The suspect kicked and punched the victim several times about the body, causing the victim to sustain pain and swelling to the head. EMS transported the victim to Queens General Hospital, where he was treated and released.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man who is believed to be 30 years old. He has a medium build with short dark hair and was last seen wearing a white Nike T-shirt, black sweat pants and dark colored sneakers.
