Police said that they are searching for an individual who is wanted in connection with a robbery on Main Street near Roosevelt Avenue in Flushing on March 5.
Around 2:19 p.m., the suspect—along with two others, who have been arrested—approached two teenagers. One suspect removed the Beats Headphones of the first victim—an 18-year-old man—and then punched the second victim—a 17-year-old boy—in his face. One of the individuals who was arrested had also attempted to stab the second victim.
Police described the suspect who has not been apprehended as a Hispanic man with light skin who is believed to be 18 years old.
FATAL COLLISION —
A 59-year-old Middle Village man was killed after being struck by a bus at a MTA facility in Flushing on March 27, police said.
Shortly before 10 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a pedestrian struck inside of a MTA facility, located at 128-15 28th Ave. Upon arrival, officers observed a 59-year-old man, who was unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to the body. EMS pronounced the man—Stephen Livecchi, who lived on 69th Avenue—dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation revealed that a 56-year-old MTA bus operator was reversing when she struck Livecchi. No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.
