At 2:35 p.m. on March 14, at the corner of Colden Street and 45th Avenue, police were informed by the victim, an 11-year-old male. While waiting to be picked up after school, an unknown male in a dark blue four-door sedan approached the victim and stated, “Get in the car, I’ll take you someplace nice upstate.” The victim replied “no,” at which time the suspect exited the car, grabbed the victim by the hands and attempted to pull the victim into his vehicle. At that time, the victim’s father arrived at the scene and the suspect fled in his vehicle northbound on Colden Street.
The suspect is described as an Asian male, 40 years old, between 5-foot-6 and 5-foot-8 with short black hair, brown eyes, dark skin and a goatee. He was last seen wearing a blue multi-colored sweatshirt and brown slacks.
