GRAND LARCENY —
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a woman who stole another woman’s purse inside of a Long Island City store on May 1.
Around 2:30 p.m., a 44-year-old woman left her purse on a table inside of Food Cellar, located at 43-18 Crescent St., and walked away. The suspect entered the location, removed the purse from the table and fled on foot in an unknown direction. The purse contained $700 in cash and two credit cards.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic woman who was wearing glasses and had her hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a white headband, white T-shirt, gray tights and pink sneakers.
GRAND LARCENY —
Police said that they are searching for an individual who stole a 32-year-old woman’s purse from her office in Long Island City on April 17.
Around 10:40 a.m., the victim left her purse inside of her office at LaGuardia Community College, located at 31-10 Thompson Ave. The suspect walked into the office, removed the purse and fled the school on foot in an unknown direction. The purse contained four credit cards.
The suspect is described as a black man who was last seen wearing a gray knit cap, blue hooded coat, dark colored hooded sweater, beige pants and black shoes.
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual who is wanted in connection with an assault that took place on May 6 in Sunnyside.
Around 7:30 a.m., the suspect approached a 25-year-old man at the corner of 47th Street and 48th Avenue and displayed a cutting instrument, which he used to stab the victim four times. The victim went to Elmhurst Hospital by private means for puncture wounds to his back. He was listed in stable condition.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic man who is believed to be between the ages of 25 and 30.
