ROBBERY PATTERN —
Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an individual wanted in connection with two robberies that occurred on Sept. 15 within the confines of the 108th and 110th precincts.
In the first incident, which occurred around 1 a.m., a 31-year-old woman was standing in front of a residential building in the vicinity of 40th Avenue and 90th Street, when the suspect pushed her and removed her purse, which contained her cell phone and approximately $600 in cash. The suspect then fled northbound toward Roosevelt Avenue.
During the second incident around 9:15 p.m., a 49-year-old woman was in the vicinity of 71-03 Woodside Ave. in Woodside, when the suspect approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. A struggle ensued, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect dragged the woman along as she clung to her purse. The victim’s father approached the suspect, who then fled to parts unknown empty handed. EMS treated the woman at the scene for bruising to the upper and lower torso.
The suspect is described as a five-foot-seven inch man with a light complexion who is believed to be 25 to 30 years of age. He has a large build, low haircut and facial hair and was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with white writing on the front, dark colored pants and white sneakers.
