PEDESTRIAN KILLED – On Sunday, May 8 at 2:33 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of a male struck by a vehicle at 115th Avenue and 131st Street in South Ozone Park. Upon arrival, police observed a 43-year-old male lying on the ground unconscious and unresponsive with severe trauma to the head and body. EMS also responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.
A preliminary investigation determined that the male was lying in the westbound lane of 115th Avenue when an unidentified black SUV traveling westbound on 115th Avenue ran over the pedestrian at the intersection of 131st Street. The vehicle fled the scene and the investigation is ongoing by NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
