ROBBERY – The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance identifying the suspect wanted for a robbery within the confines of the 109th Precinct.
At 1:30 p.m. on April 5, the suspect followed the victim, a 71-year-old female, into her apartment building in Flushing and then got into the elevator with her. When the victim was entering her apartment, the suspect pushed her in and removed her pocketbook, containing an unknown amount of money. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim was removed to a local hospital with a fractured bone in her leg.
The suspect is described as a white male, possibly Hispanic, 30-40 years old, last seen wearing a yellow construction helmet, white surgical mask, dark jacket and carrying a tool bag.
